What is the difference between Titrate Mode and Auto Mode in RESmart?
Hello, both of the 2 modes work with automatic pressure adjustment. but differs only in the pressure range, with the Titrate Mode providing a wider pressure range than the Auto Mode
For example, in titrate mode, set Init P = 5, Treat P = 8, Max P = 12, ramp = 10 min –> The pressure value will start at 5 cmH2O for 10 min and will run automatically between 5- 12 cmH2O over night (can be reduced to as low as 5 cmH2O), with a focus on treatment (Treat P 8 cmH2O)
As for Auto mode, set Init P = 5, Treat P = 8, Max P = 12, ramp = 10 minutes –> The pressure value will start at 5 cmH2O for 10 minutes, then will run automatically in the range of 8 -12 cmH2O all night, you can see that in this mode the pressure value can only come down to a minimum of 8 cmH2O, while in the Titrate mode it can drop as low as 5 cmH2O
It is recommended to set it to titrate mode to make it easier to sleep. Because in this mode, the air pressure can be reduced much lower than in other modes.
As for the AHI and SNI values shown on the device, they are hourly values. Both values should not exceed 5 times per hour.
