Hello doctor, I'm currently snoring a lot, and it makes me feel lethargic when I wake up. My father is currently using a CPAP machine and recommended that I try it. I'd like to ask for advice on the following: 1. Is it necessary to perform a sleep test before using a CPAP machine? 2. If I use the APAP instead of the automatic system, can I use it right away, or is a sleep test necessary first? 3.…

Thank you very much. My workplace has never allowed anyone to claim this machine. According to the reimbursement regulations, employees can claim medical treatment costs, except for prosthetic limbs and miscellaneous equipment. This statement caused the company to refuse reimbursement because the Chula Hospital receipt is divided into two sections: 1. Cost of prosthetic limbs and equipment used for treatment, 2. Cost of medical supplies other than drugs. Therefore, I would like to ask for clarification on this matter for the benefit of the company and to clarify whether a CPAP machine should be considered a medical supply or a prosthetic limb.

Hello, doctor. I purchased your CPAP machine through Chulalongkorn Hospital. I'm having trouble getting the machine reimbursed. I'd like to ask for your opinion on the following: Is a CPAC machine considered a medical device (a device used to treat symptoms of a disease) or an artificial organ used for treating disease?

I have already ordered an ozone generator and air ducts. I received them the next day. I am very impressed with the service. I clean my CPAP machine with the ozone generator twice a day (I have cleaned it 6 times so far). However, I have not yet given it to my mother because I have some questions for her: 1) If the machine has not been cleaned (ozone-treated) in a long time, the more times to clean it before the next use, the better, right? 2) Can the ozone generator sterilize the filter, or does it need to be sterilized separately after cleaning the dust? 3) Regarding the mask…

My mother has been using a CPAP machine for about 8 years, cleaning the filter and tubing every month and changing the water every day. However, this month she noticed black mold growing on the rubber connection between the machine and the filter. Even when using cotton swabs soaked in Dettol, the stains are still stubborn. In this case, should she 1) replace the machine? 2) buy an Ozone machine to clean it? Or…

Hello teacher, I'm 15 years old. I've only been using CPAP for a week, and my doctor prescribed it. The first day was fine, but on the 5th and 6th days, my nose felt a little sore, so I started using regular nasal spray. The symptoms improved. CPAP works fine, and I feel much more refreshed. However, I find it difficult to speak. Opening my mouth to speak isn't the same as before. When I speak, it feels like there's air in my throat all the time. My throat feels round and wide. Is this normal for someone who just started using it? Thank you teacher.
